Sankofa Foods is more than just a food company \u2014 it\u2019s a journey back to our roots, our traditions, and the delicious, nutritious meals that shaped our childhoods. The name Sankofa (pronounced SAHN-koh-fah) comes from the Twi language of the Akan Tribe of Ghana. It means \u201cGo back and get it\u201d, reminding us that there is wisdom in our past that can guide our future.
